Dr. Tran Ky, a prolific author with over seventy
books to his credit, continues to pursue
simultaneously a medical career, spanning
over 50 years and an eclectic array of
scientific interests.
A scion of the Cambodian aristocracy, before the country’s obliteration, he graduated from the famous Military Medical School of Lyon in 1956. After leaving the French Army as Colonel, he became Professor of Urology in one of France's largest
hospitals until his retirement.
Besides several books devoted to the medicinal benefits of moderate wine consumption, his |
 |
 |
|
work is essentially devoted to the French Art of ‘Savoir-Vivre’, broadly defined.
At 74 years of age, his daily regimen still includes a practice as ‘médecin
des pauvres’ in Belleville, one of Paris’s poorest districts, writing.
He practices what he preaches by consuming a daily glass of champagne.
In his spare time he travels the far corners of the world with his wife. |
